# SECTION 10 - BUSINESS OWNERSHIP AND OPERATIONS *** #### 10A – Business Ownership Limits Tier 2 Violation\ Each member (not character) may own up to two businesses, provided they operate in distinct industries. * Pre-Made Business Packs purchased on Tebex do not count toward the limit. * Co-owned businesses with a 50/50 split count as full ownership toward the member’s limit. *** #### 10B – Wage Structure & Payments Tier 3 Violation\ Employees must be compensated at a reasonable market rate based on their industry. Wages are to be paid at the end of each RP session. * Refer to the Economic Pay Structure Guidelines for industry-specific wage ranges. * Payroll activity must be logged. * Monthly performance bonuses may not exceed 50% of the employee’s total monthly earnings. *** #### 10C – Employee Compensation & Business Disputes Tier 3 Violation\ Employers who fail to compensate employees must resolve the issue within 48 hours IRL. Employees may file a formal business dispute, which may result in fines, forced back pay, or business liquidation depending on severity. *** #### 10D – Business Registration Process Tier 2 Violation\ To operate legally, players must complete the Business Application Form and receive approval from ParadiseRP Economy Team. You also must be a certfied civilian! Refer to Section 18! *** #### 10E – Underground & Black Market Operations Tier 4 Violation\ Participation in black-market activities requires a legitimate shell company registered through the Underground Operations Application. Unregistered illegal business activity may result in forced closure, fines, or legal RP consequences. *** #### 10F – Business Banking & Financial Management Tier 3 Violation\ All approved businesses must maintain a dedicated business bank account through the ParadiseRP Bank System. Business funds must remain separate from personal finances. *** #### 10G – Account Requirements Tier 2 Violation\ Each business must have its own individual bank account linked to the ParadiseRP Bank. *** #### 10H – Starting a Business Tier 1 Violation (if ignored during application)\ Starting a business requires time and financial investment. Players are encouraged to gain experience through employment or loans before applying. You also must be a certfied civilian! Refer to Section 18! *** #### 10I – Activity Requirements Tier 3 Violation\ Businesses inactive for 30 days IRL without a Leave of Absence (LOA) will be considered inactive and subject to automatic closure. *** #### **10J – Business Legal Exposure & Shutdown Risk** **Tier 4 Violation**\ Businesses may be **temporarily or permanently shut down** if the CEO, owner, or business entity becomes involved in **serious or repeated criminal activity** involving Law Enforcement or Federal Agencies (e.g., FIB). Continued illegal operations or failure to comply with investigations may result in administrative action up to full business closure. *** #### **10K – Employee Pay Documentation Requirements** **Tier 3 Violation**\ All businesses must maintain **documented and accurate payroll records** outlining employee wages and payment structures. These records must be available during **FIB financial reviews or bank transaction audits** to verify whether employees are receiving legitimate compensation. *** #### **10L – Business Fund Usage & Financial Logging** **Tier 4 Violation**\ Businesses are required to **log and document all company fund usage in Action Chat**, including but not limited to payroll, investments, purchases, and transfers. Failure to maintain proper financial records may result in penalties during **FIB subpoenas or transaction audits** and may be treated as financial misconduct. *** #### **10M – Bank Account Freezing During Security Threats** **Tier 2 Violation**\ If a business reasonably believes its bank account is at risk of being **hacked, compromised, or exploited**, the business must **roleplay freezing the account** using action chat until the situation is resolved. Failure to take reasonable steps to protect company funds may result in administrative action. *** #### **10N – Administrative Bank Freeze Assistance** **Tier 1 Violation**\ Businesses may contact **Administration (acting as PRP Bank Support)** to request assistance with **temporarily freezing a business bank account** during investigations, security threats, or financial disputes.
